He breathed life into what had become lifeless, infusing spirit into what had grown hollow.</p><p>Osho says, <i><span>“I want to destroy the whole traditional attitude. Life should be religious and religion should not have any life. The distinction between the marketplace and the monastery should not be there. The monastery should be in the marketplace; the divine dimension should become part of everyday life.”</span></i></p><p>Gone was the old idea of renunciation, of turning away. In its place, a new light dawned—an invitation to embrace, to celebrate, to live in totality. For to deny life, Osho says, is to imprison the soul.</p><p>Osho says, <i><span>“A sannyas that withdraws from life turns into a bondage, into a prison; it cannot be freedom. And a sannyas that negates freedom is really not sannyas. Freedom, ultimate freedom is the very soul of sannyas. For me, sannyas has no limitations, no inhibitions, no rules and regulations. For me, sannyas does not accept any imposition, any regimentation, any discipline. For me, sannyas is the flowering of man's ultimate freedom, rooted in his intelligence, his wisdom.”</span></i></p><p>And so he called it Neo Sannyas - a path not of rules, but of exploration. Not a religion, but a revolution of consciousness. Osho speaks of it not as a doctrine, but as a journey into the vast, mysterious dance of existence.</p><p>Osho says, <i><span>“My sannyas is an opening, a journey… in search of an orgasmic relationship with the whole. Sannyas is not a program or ideology; it is exploration. When you become a sannyasin, I initiate you into freedom and nothing else. It is great responsibility to be free, because then you have nothing to lean upon except your own inner being, your own consciousness. I take away your props and leave you utterly alone. That aloneness blooms on its own accord into the flower of sannyas.”</span></i></p><p>It is a love affair—between the master and the disciple, between the seeker and the source.
