José Manuel Rodriguez Delgado (1915–2011), in Ronda, Spain, was a pioneering neuroscientist at Yale University. He invented the Stimoceiver — a device that could remotely stimulate specific regions of the brain via radio signals — and famously stopped a charging bull in a 1963 arena demonstration using a brain implant.&nbsp;His book Physical Control of the Mind (1969) sparked global debate about neurotechnology, free will, and ethics — themes more relevant today than ever in the age of brain-computer interfaces.
