Tension prevailed at Osho Commune on Wednesday as over 300 disciples of late spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh wearing sanyas malas forced their way into his ashram in Pune in protest against the purported plans by the management to sell the Ashram land.
On Wednesday afternoon, the followers belonging to the rival Maroon Army faction barged into the Osho International Meditation Centre (OIMC) located in Koregaon Park. Police officials were stationed outside the centre.

Pune: The two warring factions of Acharya Rajneesh alias Osho heaved a sigh of relief on Tuesday as one of them was finally allowed inside the commune by another faction controlling the campus.
Around 2,500 disciples from across the globe gathered at the Osho Ashram entrance marking the 70th enlightenment day of Osho.

The main opposition faction which has christened itself as the “Maroon Army” claimed that around 2,500 disciples from across the globe gathered at the Osho Ashram entrance marking the 70th enlightenment day of Osho.

According to the Osho International Foundation, it possesses land mainly in Koregaon Park in different parcels, running into around 10 acres
