Osho followers had gathered at the commune in January, but were not allowed entry.
Osho followers arrive from across country to restore their master’s glory on his Enlightenment Day by reviving the mega celebrations
Undeterred by the humiliation faced during Osho’s death anniversary on January 19 when hundreds of sannyasins were forbidden from entering the Osho Commune, about 3000 of them are now swooping down on Pune, to commemorate the 70th Enlightenment Day of their master, from March 19 to 21.
Leading the movement are Ma Dharma Jyoti and Swami Chaitanya Keerti. While Ma was one of the first followers to take sannyasa on September 21, 1970, Swami was the spokesperson of the commune for a long time since the Ashram got established on March 21, 1974.
