Conscious Living & Dying
What is death after all?
More importantly, what is our attitude to this inevitable transition?
The greatest unknown, the mysterious, a great liberation, a fiction, a curse, a blessing, and so on – We have heard different expressions.
Many of us have felt the impact when someone around us passes through that gate. And once in a while it moves and sets the likes of Gautama on the journey to become a Buddha.
It is destiny, it is the absolute certainty. Then as a seeker, why not stare straight at mortality and know that which is immortal. Why not embrace the inevitable and be free from fear of death instead of making it a taboo and living a lukewarm life out of fear and avoidance?
Osho says that is only possible if we live our life consciously. To know death we have to be conscious at that very moment. We will be truly ready only if we live our life totally.
Hearing Osho insights, meditating, inquiring and yes! Dancing and celebrating – we will explore this aspect of life; the aspect of – conscious living and dying.
Osho says, “Death is destiny. It has to be so because it is the origin — you come from death and you go to death. Life is just a moment between two nothingnesses, just a flight of a bird between two states of non-being. If death is destiny, as it is, then the whole of life becomes a preparation, a training for it — a discipline in how to die rightly and how to die totally and utterly.”
