Sufism is the essential core of all religions. Sufism cannot be defined. It simply means a love affair with the ultimate. Democracy is defined as the government of the masses. A democracy is a form of government in which ordinary citizens june take part in governing, contrary to monarchy or dictatorship. Yet democracy is not the highest possibility. Osho says democracy, rightly translated, is mediocracy. Osho's vision of a government is based on merit and He rightly terms it meritocracy. A system of government based on rule by merit and ability rather than by wealth or social position. Osho says "Democracy is not succeeding; it has failed. It was better than its predecessors, but now we have to find a new alternative, because democracy has failed. It has not been of any help.
I call it meritocracy."
