CHRISTIANITY THE DEADLIEST POISON & ZEN THE ANTIDOTE TO ALL POISONS

"Every human being needs deprogramming."

Here is The Great Gift Book for those ninety or more percent Christians to whom being Christian is just a formality. It is not.

"Murder has been the argument of all so-called religions, and still is."
"AIDS is a religious disease."
"It is a propaganda of the Christians that Columbus discovered America."
"Religions have pushed everybody to the very verge of insanity."

Strange statements...sound a bit unreal, off the wall, don't they? Hm? Well, it just means the age of enlightenment is still to come.
Take for example myself. My God, me and a Christian? Sure, I had gone through all the formalities like everybody has: baptism, Sunday school, confirmation. But my parents never went to church. In fact, they were in competition.
Each Sunday morning their pub was packed with people who had escaped from wife and children either by prtending to go to church, or because their families had gone to church. They were drinking, smoking, singing, playing cards, and above all enjoying what was conspiratorally known as "The Christian Teaching:" telling as many and as dirty jokes as possible.
These "Christian Teachings" apart, religion was just a dead formality to me and all my friends - until the day I felt the hand of the priest in my pocket. I had started giving lectures at Munich university and the first salary arrived. When it reaches you, the state has already deducted a certain percentage for "church tax." It is tricky. You never see that money; it goes directly to the church. Unless you provide a certain certificate, the state (by constitution separated from the church!) goes on collecting your money for the church. To you, it looks like any other unavoidable tax, so nobody objects.
I went to the registrar for the certificate and told him: "I want to leave the church."
Frowning, he said: "Are you Catholic?"
"No, Protestant." Munich is almost one hundred percent Catholic.
He became more friendly and said: "Okay." I could hear his mind click: "Better pagan than Protestant." I really wonder what they do with Catholics.
I asked: "What about the certificate?"
"It is fifty marks," he told me.
"What? Have you given me fifity marks when you forced me into your club?"
He insisted, and I was getting hotter and louder, shouting, "Who has given me fifty marks?" "Robbers!" and so on.
He became very embarrassed, because people started looking, couples and their families waiting to get married, so he went down to five marks, which i paid, and he promised to send the certificate.
Weeks later I visited my parents who lived in a town some hundred miles away. The certificate had not arrived yet, but the priest had! The parish priest had seen my parents and informed them - which I was trying to hide - that I was planning to leave the church and they should help me, because who will bury me if I die? My body would just lie on the street and rot! Also he had suggested that there might be an uncle or aunt whom I trust, and they should talk tome. I was shocked, furious. To me, those were the methods of Adolf Hitler and the communists.
So I turned into a staunch pagan, who took himself for free. Most probably I would never have come to know anything else in this life, but while following the pagan's path of "sex, drugs, and rock'n roll " I came across Osho. Many times I heard Him speak on religion, but I was not concerned. I was a pagan, in my mind, so He must be telling this "religious stuff" to other people. As soon as He started on about religion, it was time for a little nap.
But reading His books and listening to His tapes, by and by things started turning up. Why, for example, could I never relax after sex, but jumped immediately to any crazy activity available, at least inside? Could it be connected to the guilt He said religions create in everybody? Not that I had not enjoyed this aftersex speed. In fact, most university lectures plus several books were written in that energy, but it had become too much of a habit, raising questions like: "Where are you going?"
Something had clicked, and a process started which is still at work: becoming more and more aware of the Christian programming. I found that shame and guilt bypass consciousness and manifest directly in the body, in my case particularly as sore throat and fever.
For example, reading a book by Dr. George Meredith, Osho's personal physician, I suddenly fell sick with fever and tonsillitis - although my tonsils were removed long ago. The words must have brought up enormous guilt: "My God, I had been such a rock, insensitive, for years and years not able to see the most prcious and most fragile rose."
Once seen, it also works the other way round: when the symptoms of sore throat start, which I have known since childhood, it's time to sit back and relax, close my eyes and let all the guilt come up. After a good look at it, and an apology to the poor body, they fade away - incredible.
The latest discovery is that the very shape of my body - the bent neck and tense shoulders - indicates the Christian God and his penchant for obedience. He virtually abides in my shoulders and goes on telling me: "You should not..."
What utter brutality of the Christians to force me into their fold without asking my permission! When I woke up, I was drowned in it, imprisoned so deeply I didi not even know there was a world outside. They had destroyed the very idea of searching. That's how the sects work.
Had it not been for Osho sharing His insights, I would still sit in their jail. Now do you see the tears of gratitude? Now do you see why He is bound to be persecuted?
Wait a minute... Don't you feel a certain seriousness in this piece of writing? Yes, there it is, the Christian programming - seriousness, one of the cornerstones of the Christian prison.
Now see the words of Osho - and there is the open sky of a human being without any conditioning, lighthearted, easy, free - a master of Zen. His words dance. His sentences create a vast emptiness. His outrageous jokes, mysterious Zen anecdotes, symbolic parables and real-life stories give us glimpses - almost against our will - of the unspeakable, the eternal miracle of Zen.
Otherwise, we just need a surgeon to remove the Christian glue blocking our eyes and hearts. But no need to worry. We have found Him, sword in one hand, lotus flower in the other. Relaxing with this book into our favorite armchair, we can trust:
"Silence everywhere
The cicada's voice
pierces rocks"
