Dr. Naresh Trehan launches a book by Swami Chaitanya Keerti
The Osho Way: In Romance With Life

It was an unusual book launch at the Osho World galleria on august 15, 2003. It was a celebration of Mystic Osho’s vision of meditation in the marketplace. Padmabhushan Dr. Naresh Trehan, Executive Director and Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Escorts Heart Institute, launched a new book by Swami Chaitanya Keerti: The Osho Way: In Romance With Life. The book is a compilation of meditation articles and Osho’s revolutionary methods of meditation: The real tools of transformation for modern man. It has a foreword by Dr. Trehan who shared his own experience of meditation at the Osho Commune in Pune. He said that meditation is very effective in reducing stress-related diseases and unburdening the heart, hence it should be done in the hospitals also. There is going to be a meditation hall in The Escorts Heart Institute also in the near future, he said.

Dr. Lavlin Thadani, a senior media personality and a poetess, welcomed the chief guest and read out two articles of her choice from the book; both the articles were based on profound Zen parables. Osho’s Hindi discourse on laughter was played on audio. Osho’s jokes on his favourite character Mulla Nasruddin created uproarious laughter in the packed galleria. Osho explained: Laughter is prayer when the religion is alive, but it becomes a corpse when it becomes enemy of laughter. I want my people to spread laughter around the world. Let laughter be your prayer, your meditation.

Talking about the book, the author Swami Chaitanya Keerti said: This book was not any work for me. It came out of my joy of living with Osho who is a gigantic tree of enlightenment. This tree is giving birth to thousands of such disciples who will be sharing their experience of meditation through such books and other mediums. There are going to be many more such books. This book is in gratitude to my master, as we are celebrating Guru Vandana week.
