Mahavir:
A Pool of Energy
Osho in His discourses speaks about Mahavir -- that wherever he moved, for miles around life would become more alive. Mahavir would simply stand or sit under a tree, for hours and days, but for miles life would start throbbing with a new rhythm. It is said that trees would bloom out of season; trees would start growing faster than ever; dead trees would start producing new fresh
leaves.

Life
"LIFE
CONSISTS OF EXTREMES". Life is a tension
between the opposites. To be exactly in the middle for
ever means to be dead. The middle is only a theoretical
possibility; only once in a while are you in the middle,
as a passing phase. It is like walking on a tightrope:
you can never be exactly in the middle for any length of
time. If you try, you will fall.

The
Wisdom Of The Wise-Max Ehrmann, an American mystic poet, had a vision and received some profound words. He compiled these words in his famous document: Desiderata.
Ehrmann functioned as a medium of the divine. Other mystics have also had similar experiences. It happened in the case of Madam Blavatsky, who wrote The Voice of Silence. She discovered the ancient spiritual document in the course of meditations. Osho talks of other mystics who have had similar experiences.

The
Skill of No-Action
No
action needs skill as much as action does but with a
difference. The skill of action is on the surface, which
can be learnt easily or borrowed because it is nothing
but a technique where the being is not involved. The
skill of no-action is not a technique at all. It grows
and flowers with one’s inner growth. It evolves from
inside. Osho says “The skill of action comes from
without, goes within; the skill of no-action comes from
within, flows without. Their dimensions are totally
different, diametrically opposite.” Read on as Osho
brings out the essence of the skill of no-action.

"Health
is natural"
"Health
is natural, death is natural, but disease is not
natural. Disease is simply an indication that something
is going wrong in your nature. For example, you have
eaten too much and there is pain in your stomach. This
pain is not natural, you have done something
unnatural."

Dignity
: The Existential Grace
Dignity
and ego are totally different phenomena. Dignity is non
comparative whereas ego is comparative. Dignity comes
from the innermost experience of one's being. Bringing
out the difference between dignity and ego, Osho says
"Dignity is a totally different phenomenon, it is
self-respect. Ego is domination over others. Dignity is
just standing on your own feet, independence, freedom;
it is not domination over others. The moment you start
thinking of dominating, you are falling into the trap of
the ego."

The
Last Morning Star
In these discourses, Osho calls all who will hear him to
go beyond everything they know or have experienced.
"The path of devotion is the path of the
heart", he says. "Only the mad succeed there,
only those who can laugh and cry with their whole heart,
who are not afraid to drink the wine of the divine-
because when you drink that wine, you will become
intoxicated, you will lose all control over your life.

The
Humorous Side
Its own humorous side accompanies every event, one just
needs a sense of humor. Humor is a basic quality of
being holy and a holy man is a humorous man. Osho says
“I want a sense of humor to be a fundamental quality
of a good man, of a moral man, of a religious man. And
it does not need much looking; you just try to see it,
and everywhere....” “Just look around at life and
try to see the humorous side of things.”
