Message from the Master:
Be ordinary but bring a quality of awareness to your ordinary life. A man who is ready to live an ordinary life is an extraordinary man. Because to be extraordinary, to desire to be extraordinary, is a very ordinary desire. To relax and to be ordinary is really extraordinary says Osho, the Zen master. More...

News From The World of OSHO
love is the real thing

Learn how to be love! So it is not a question of to whom your love is addressed, it is simply a question of your being loving. Sitting alone, still love goes on flowing.Absolutely alone, still, what can you do? Just as you breathe... you dont breathe for your wife it is not a relationship. You dont breathe for your children it is not a relationship. You simply breathe! - it is life. Just as breathing is life for the body, love is the life of the soul - one is simply love! And then only does one know that love is God.

Egos have no sex, no gender

Osho, I find it almost impossible to surrender to the male ego. Instead I become competitive, resistant or frightened. Can you say something about this?

An American in Paris asked a cabby to give him the address of a good brothel. He went there alone, selected his partner, and ordered dinner. Later that evening, after satisfying his every whim, the thoroughly-drained gentleman went downstairs and asked the Madame for his bill.
There is no charge, Monsieur, said the lady of the house. Astonished, but not disposed to argue the matter, the gentleman departed. The next night he returned to the brothel and repeated his performance of the previous night. Upon leaving this time however, he was shocked to learn that his bill was eight hundred francs.
Impossible! the American shrieked. I was here last evening and I got everything and you didnt charge me a sou.
Ah, said the Madame, but last night you were on television.

The Lessons Osho Taught Me About Love, Life and Relationships

We go to a doctor only when we feel physically unwell or unfit. We seek a guru only when we feel mentally and emotionally unwell. That’s what happened with me about 10 years ago. There were problems, issues, from so many ends in my life that I literally didn’t know how to my hold myself. ‘Zindagi Live’ had started and I was hearing stories of pain and trauma on every shoot, and it was making it worse for me. Never in my life had I heard such tragic stories so closely. I was touching people’s lives, but my own life was slipping out of my control.

That’s when it happened like a miracle. Someone gifted me a book, The Book of Understanding: Creating Your Own Path to Freedom by Osho.

A Living Legend

“And I’ve loved your music since those days 30 years ago,” I said. “Do you remember Laxmi?”
“Oh yes, of course,” he replied his eyes brightening up. “Whatever happened to her?”
“She died of cancer in ’95, and this is the book of her extraordinary life,” I said, handing him a copy of The Only Life. I opened it to the dedication page and pointed to a drawing. “A man with a flute,” I said, and he laughed. “I hope you will play through till dawn.”
“Oh no, they all have to work tomorrow.” He loosely gestured towards the auditorium.
“Yes, but we don’t. You and I are pensioners!” I said and he laughed again and took my hand.

The new man will not be a tale told by an idiot, but will be a poem sung out of wholeness, will be a dance of immense joy for Gods gift of life and being, for the flowers and the trees and the birds, and the sun and the sand and the sea.

The new man will not look somewhere faraway for God, he will look here, close-by. Now will be his only time, here will be his only space.

The Only Life
The Only Life

The Only Life

(Creative writer, media personality)

Ma Yoga Laxmi was to Osho what Anand was to Gautama
Buddha with one major differencethere is no record or
evidence that Anand's life with Gautama Buddha went
through the number and kinds of twists and turns, ups and
downs, deaths and rebirths that Ma Yoga Laxmi's life was
so blessed to go through with Osho. She not only walked
what Osho talked, she lived it and lived it joyfully. She had
been a witness to the sannyas of thousands of us
sannyasins. She had been our collective envy for her
proximity to Osho as well as our collective tears for what
she enduredbeing closest to Osho meant she received
the maximum and the harshest hits from Osho's Zen stick!
She was one of us and all of us. In Swami Dev Rashid's
The Only Life she touches us once again and Osho's
vision as well as our own hearts finds a lucid voice. A
blessing for Osho lovers and a window for the uninitiated
to Osho's vision and what it means to be a disciple of a
master of masters.

Vasant Joshi (Author)

A rebel, an iconoclast, an enlightened mystic and an intellectual giant, Osho (also known as Acharya Rajneesh and Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) is all this and more. He brought about a spiritual revolution in the lives of those who cared to grow intellectually. He spoke fearlessly against orthodox religions, priests, politicians, age-old traditions and anything he thought was a hindrance to the anything he thought was a hindrance to the path of self-realisation. This made him the most talked about and controversial mystic of the twentieth century.
Osho, The Luminous Rebel traces the story of Osho from his birth, talking about his spiritual search for truth and the wondrous story of his enlightenment. The book also takes the reader from the early years of Osho’s struggle with authority figures, to the much hyped city of Rajneeshpuram in the US and his incarceration in various jails across the US, where he believes he was poisoned by the US government. He was later denied visas in twenty-one countries across the world—events, he reveals, that exposed the true face of ‘democracy’.
Osho, The luminous Rebel is for all Osho lovers and admirers, for the uninitiated and the spiritually inclined, and for those who are just curious to know more.
