Noted Indian vocalist and cultural luminary Shubha Mudgal ceremoniously illuminated the first of the ‘Luminous Ones’ on Thursday, 19 October at Osho World Galleria to inaugurate a candle exhibition of this name. A real life scenario ‘from darkness to light’ happened as the Galleria was dim-lit and Osho’s recorded words were played loud and clear to set the stage for the exhibition.

Waves of unrestricted laughter alternating with deep, thought provoking poetry could only happen at an Osho event - in this case, oshoworld.com celebration on Friday in New Delhi. The event - Freedom of Religiousness - was a twin observance of oshoworld.com to retain this name following a judgement in USA and to remember with joy a noted Osho lover - the famous Bollywood music director Kalyanji Bhai who passed away on Thursday.

An Osho anecdote "Don't fight darkness, bring in light," became the mantra for the Mayor of Delhi Shri Shanti Desai in his public life.
Speaking on Wednesday, 19 July 2000 at the inauguration of an Odissi dance performance by Ileana Citaristi, Guru Samarpan, organised by Osho World Foundation at the India Habitat Centre, Shri Desai said, " Ever since I read this anecdote from an Osho book, I have been transformed in my public life."
Inauguration by Hon'ble Maneka Gandhi Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. She remembered her husband's and Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minster's love and appreciation of Osho and his books.

The Path of Love was the theme of Osho World's Kabir Week celebrations from Saturday, 10th June 2000 - Friday 16th June 2000. The celebrations were inaugurated by noted dancer Shovana Narayan and TV anchor Rahul Dev with singing of Kabir Bhajans by Osho disciples followed by a taped discourse by Osho on what is real love.

Buddha Week celebrated by Osholovers ended on a high note on 18 May with participation by a number of distinguished personalities at Osho World Galleria in Ansal Plaza. Former Union Commerce Minister Shri Ramakrishna Hegde and noted danseuse Pratibha Prahlad; poet, writer and media entrepreneur Pritish Nandy, MP; and famous TV anchorman Shri Rajat Sharma and his wife Ritu, were some of the celebrities who visited Osho World.

Like a sudden clap of thunder, Mallika Sarabhai overwhelmed her audience with her dance recital: In Search of Devi - the inaugural cultural event of Osho World Foundation held in the capital on 15 April. The sheer power of her message of empowering women in this male dominated society held a jam packed hall of both male and female audience entrapped with her hour long solo performance.
